Course Description
HP Tru64 UNIX Immersion for UNIX Professionals is a fast paced course designed to familiarize students with unique qualities about Tru64 UNIX from other UNIX systems and prepares students to take the following certification examinations:
- Implementing and Supporting HP Tru64 UNIX
V5 - 010-601 - Tru64 UNIX V5 Advance Administration, Support and Performance - 010-702
- Tru64 UNIX V5 Network Administration - 010-703
Who Should Attend
This course is designed for individuals with mid-level system administration UNIX experience. It is especially geared to presales technical support, services personnel and business partners, but is also appropriate for customers who can handle a fast track to Tru64 UNIX certification.
The training is designed to help you meet the operating system certification requirements for the following certification program:
- Associate Level AlphaServer/Tru64 UNIX Specialist
Prerequisites
Prior to taking this course, students should be able to perform the following tasks using the UNIX operating system of their choice:
- Manipulate files
- Navigate a directory
- Set up and manage printers
- Use mail
- Install the UNIX operating system
- Manage disks and file systems
- Manager users
- Create and manage a LAN using UNIX
- Troubleshoot start up and normal system admin issues
- Tune the system to the applications currently running on it/understand performance issues
- Create the level of security necessary for the environment they are in/understand security issues
Students can gain this information by experience or by taking courses from other UNIX operating systems curricula.
